Stichting IDEIS is the continuation of what was once known as The IKC Academy; the scientific branch of the foundation Islam Knowledge Center. We believe that with the right scientifically based knowledge, we can reach our bigger goals faster. This proved to be true because within a short period of time our scientific branch got bigger and became an institution on itself: Stichting IDEIS.
The goal of stichting IDEIS
Everyday Islam and Muslims in Dutch society deserve a qualitative analysis by means of academic field research, interviews and observation. Stichting IDEIS tries to do this.
Also by offering solutions to the problems of Muslims related to living together by using the data obtained from the field by the experienced staff of the Stichting IDEIS.
It takes concrete steps by using critical and creative thinking in determining the problem and solving it. It provides theoretical and practical tools for formal and informal educational institutions and plays an active role in their implementation.
Stichting IDEIS shares its findings and solutions with academics from national and international platforms, using the experience of these networks and developing joint projects with them.
